Verify Eligibility
Confirm child is under 21, has or can get Georgia Medicaid, and has a qualifying medical condition. Core Health Group Corp. can verify eligibility for free — no obligation required. We respond within one business day.
Contact Core Health Group Corp.
Reach out by phone or online inquiry form. Our intake team collects basic information about the child’s diagnosis, current Medicaid status, and care needs. We guide your family through every step that follows.
Physician Documentation
Your child’s physician completes a physician order and clinical documentation describing the diagnoses, functional limitations, and services required. We send the physician a documentation packet and coordinate follow-up to minimize delays.
Prior Authorization Submission
Core Health Group Corp. assembles the complete authorization packet — physician order, clinical notes, plan of care — and submits it to Alliant Health Solutions (Georgia Medicaid’s prior authorization contractor). Alliant has 7 calendar days to respond to a complete packet.
Authorization Approved
Once Alliant approves, we receive the authorization specifying the approved services and hours. We send you a copy and schedule a care coordination call to finalize the plan.
Care Begins
Your assigned nurse or caregiver begins services per the authorized plan. We coordinate directly with your child’s physician and care team to ensure seamless, medically appropriate care at home.

Timeline varies. Once a complete packet is submitted, Alliant has 7 calendar days to respond. Gathering physician documentation typically takes 1–2 weeks depending on the care team’s availability. The full process from first contact to care start is usually 3–6 weeks, though complex cases may take longer. Core Health Group Corp. manages and tracks every step and keeps your family updated.
No referral is required to contact us. We start by verifying eligibility and then work with your child’s physician to obtain the necessary documentation. If your child doesn’t yet have a specialist, we can help connect you with the right providers.
Families have the right to appeal a denial. Core Health Group Corp. assists with appeals, including identifying documentation gaps and working with the physician to strengthen the clinical record. Many denials are overturned on appeal.
Yes. If your household income is above regular Medicaid thresholds, your child may still qualify through the Katie Beckett / TEFRA program, which evaluates the child independently of household income. We help families explore this pathway.
No. Our intake and application coordination services are provided at no cost to the family. Eligible children enrolled in Georgia Medicaid typically have no cost for covered GAPP services; any cost-sharing on the Katie Beckett pathway is determined by the Katie Beckett Medicaid team.
